Home      Edible Roots      Biscuitroot
Biscuitroot is a plant that I have just started to identify this year. I found it growing in the desert near my home in the spring and like many of my plants had to research quite a bit to find out what it was. The root was used by Native Americans to create a gruel or to add to other flours and make biscuits. I'll let you know what I learn more abotu it as I discover it next year and try out some recipes.

Montana Plant life has some good info on this one as well as many wild edibles.
