Come learn to identify the many useful and edible plants available in the mountains of Utah. Big Springs Trail is fast becoming one of my favorite places to do tours. There is so much to offer up there and the little spring running through the area allows for more plants that last longer into the season than many other areas in Utah. Once again, you will be learning about a large variety of useful plants and if you ahve done this area at another time of the year, coming again will allow you to see new plants and plants in different stages of life. I won’t require you to memorize all of the plants we identify, but I will quiz you a little after you learn.

As always, you will learn to identify these plants, learn about their edibility and other usefulness. You may also see some that are toxic or poisonous. Be sure to bring your phone for pictures and notes and if desired a notebook.
